desert waves 𓂃 captured by @christopher.james continuing to take a trip down memory lane; since that’s the only trips we’re really allowed to take at the moment : ) this photo was taken almost 4 years ago, which was where my travels really began. unfortunately I don’t have any video clips to show, as years of travel has made for quite the journey & one-too-many stolen phones. but although this is such a distant memory- i remember it like it was yesterday. i met chris through instagram & started hoping on any opportunity or excuse to get on a plane & explore. It was around this time he also recommended & convinced me to my first camera, and selflessly spent hours teaching me the basics of Lightroom and photoshop (presets?.. what’s that). before I knew it I was staying up all night every night perfecting my coloring and blending. amongst popular disbelief at the time from friends/family- it didn’t take me long to catch on to photography and become addicted to traveling.. I had a burning passion in creating art of how I perceived the world, and this was the perfect outlet. so to answer the question “how do you do what you do”. I’ve never had a direct or easy answer to sum up my journey, other than I simply did what I loved doing, and the rest followed.
