Though named “parchment”, this uncovered and sewn paper block was made traditionally from cotton scraps, pulped to emulate the historic paper. Indeed, true parchment is made from untanned animal skins and has been used as a writing medium for over two millennia, as a successor to papyrus.
This versatile book is perfectly prepared to take charcoal, pastel, paint, and ink very well. Its unfussy design and generous binding proves useful for a picture album, journal, scrapbook, or any other special miscellany.
