## Neighborhoods

**La Condesa** - beautiful, walking neighborhood with lots of trees, restaurants, and parks. Make sure to walk around the old horse track that is Amsterdam Ave.

**Roma Norte** - world class neighborhood with tons of cool bars, amazing restaurants, and incredible architecture. Take a day to walk around and get lost.

**Coyoacán** - take a day trip to this neighborhood a little south in the city. You’ll find the Frida Kahlo house, and a beautiful square to walk around and eat.



## Restaurants

**Galanga Thai** - Upscale Thai

**Botanico** - Upscale Dinner

**Mux** - really good traditional Mexican dishes from all over the country

**El Hidalguense** - classic, traditional Mexican. Not a fancy place, but delicious and a must try!

**Santo** - Amazing sushi and lively vibe

**Maximo Bistrot** - Famous and fancy. Hard to get a table.

**Merkava** - Israeli/Middle Eastern. Casual.

**Izakaya Kura** - Good Japanese restaurant

**Fonda Fina** - A great, casual Mexican restaurant. Easy to get a table.

**Contramar** - Famous seafood restaurant. Reservation recommended.

**Masala y Maiz** - Mexican, Indian fusion. Mostly open for lunch.

**Taverna** - Super vibey Mexican restaurant in Juarez.

Cafes/Bakeries

**Eno** - Great breakfast and granola to take awy

**Thomas Editora Teahouse** - A cool little tea house. Nice spot to chill.

**Panderia Rosetta** - One of the most famous bakeries/cafes in the city. Might have to wait for a table. They also have a famous more sit down type restaurant across the street.

**Jarilla** - Nice outdoor seating and casual spot

**Quentin Cafe** - They have a few locations around Roma/Condesa. Good coffee and vibey spot.

**Almanegra Cafe** - Locations in Escandon (very close to our house), and in Roma. Great coffee.

**Ojo de Agua** - Multiple locations (very close to house). Clean eating - good acai bowl.

**Saint** - Amazing bakery close to the house

**Chiquita Cafe** - Casual cafe close by the house.



## Bars/Clubs

La Clandestina - A lively mezcaleria in Condesa.

Gypsy - a really cool bar in a garage in Roma Norte

MN Roy - late night club, always a scene.

## Other stuff to check out

Parque Mexico - The park in the middle of Condesa. Also check out Amsterdam Ave - this street runs in a loop around the park and is a great walking/running path.

Tetetlan - Cultural center/Yoga studio/Restaurant. Beautiful space to spend some time hanging out, reading, eating.



## Markets



Medellin Market - Huge market with everything. Good place to buy fruit.



## Coworking spots / Cafes to work



Tetetlan - a beautiful space with a restaurant, yoga studio, and some comunal working upstairs

Blend Station (Hipodromo Location) - Cafe with a comunal open work space in the back

Haab - a hub for coworking in Condesa. They have a free open space on the first floor, and you can purchase a pass to use the upstairs coworking spaces

Cardinal Casa de Cafe - more open coffee spot with good wifi. Not the greatest if you need quiet, but nice coffee and good wifi and plugs.



## Yoga Studios



Blanco yoga - beautiful studio in Condesa with mostly Ashtanga based classes

Tetetlan - my favorite spot to do yoga. They have great classes, it’s and incredibly beautiful places, and they have a great restaurant and coworking setup as well

Atma Yoga - great studio with both Spanish and English classes
