Autonomy without accountability is chaos.

All I do is build websites, all I want to do is build websites. Typography, motion design, copywriting, performance—the web is an endless medium of opportunity and creativity of which I’ve only scratched the surface.

Simplicity is difficult because most of us are overcompensating for uncertainty. It takes a deep understanding of beauty and emotional awareness to look at something, long before most people would say it is complete, and say “This is enough.”

a great idea is just a start. It's in the hard work of building and shaping that an idea is truly brought to life.

Perhaps it’s natural, when doing something so greedy and practical as a startup, to pine for the idealized world of academia.
