This piece belongs to the Topographic Memories series by designer Raphael Navot and the master-craftsmen of Les Ateliers Saint Jacques as part of the Editions Courbet program. For this capsule collection, Navot draws inspiration both from the material&apos;s personality and the time-honored techniques carried on by the Ateliers Saint Jacques master craftsmen. Resulting from a three-year-long collaboration between Courbet, Raphael Navot, and Les Ateliers Saint-Jacques, the collection is informed by Navot’s design vocabulary and his longstanding fascination for traditional crafts, raw materials, their essence, and their stories. Whether carved in stone or cast in bronze, each piece is a sculptural interpretation of topographic landscapes with emphasized details and textures that highlight the artisans’ dexterity.
